LICENSE AGREEMENT

This Educational License Agreement allows you to use Planet Peach Design sewing patterns for educational purposes, within the limits set out below.

  • The license is non-transferable and non-exclusive. 

  • With this license, you are entitled to use the licensed Planet Peach Design pattern in your sewing classes or lessons. This means you can make the pattern available for students of the class or lesson to make in the class. The students may not receive personal individual copies of the pattern. Any pattern-usage for home-use will be required to purchase the pattern.

  • The license is valid for 12 MONTHS (1 YEAR) from the date of purchase. After this period, it must be renewed before expiration if you wish to continue providing the pattern as a tool in education. Failure to renew before expiry will be considered a violation of copyright law.

  • Once the license period ends, any patterns must be immediately removed.

  • The license covers up to 30 garments created garments. The agreement will expire after 12 months or after 30 garments have been created- whichever comes first.

  • The license applies to ONE pattern only. A separate license must be purchased for each pattern.

  • This license does NOT include the sewing pattern itself. The pattern must be purchased separately.

  • The purchase of a license does not entitle the purchaser to sell, copy, share, or distribute the pattern itself in any form. You may not claim the pattern or any part of it as your own.

  • All license purchases are final and non-refundable, regardless of usage.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Which Planet Peach Design pattern you want the license for

  • Your full name

  • Your school/educational institution name 

  • Your email address (important, as the license will be sent digitally)

The license agreement is not valid until the above mentioned information has been sent and the license agreement is issued. Once you have purchased the license and sent a message with above information. We will get back to you within 48 hours with your education license.

  • Making garments for personal use only

  • Using Planet Peach Design patterns for a class or workshop (including online platforms such as Skillshare, Patreon, or other paid-access teaching)
WHY DO I NEED A LICENSE?

Planet Peach Design sewing patterns are protected by copyright law. When you purchase a pattern, it is for personal use only, meaning you can make garments for yourself, friends, and family.

If you want to make a Planet Peach Design pattern available for your students to use in a classroom or lesson you need an educational license.

Here’s why:

  • An educational license makes it legal for you to offer the pattern for other individuals besides yourself in a classroom setting or for lessons.
  • It ensures that the design work and intellectual property of Planet Peach Design are respected.
  • Every piece of clothing starts with a sewing pattern, and each sewing pattern is created by a pattern maker. The pattern maker deserves both credit and fair payment for their work.
  • It protects your business too. Licensed educators can confidently make the pattern available to their students without the risk of copyright violations.
