Sizing

Fabric considerations

Medium weight fabric works best with this sewing pattern. Consider constructions like cotton twill and suiting fabrics which gives structure and flowiness. This dress can also work well with medium-weight denim and woven fabrics. Plaid and tartan designs are encouraged!

For a breezy summer dress, consider linen or cotton/linen blends. Cotton embroidery fabrics give a great texture and look to this dress. The embroidery helps give the dress a nice structure working well with the a-line silhouette.

For a dress that keeps you warm, consider a wool/wool blend outer shell and a lining fabric like Cupro twill.

For a more formal style of this dress, consider a medium-weight silk or viscose. This will lead to a more flowy dress. Keep the weight at a higher GSM for a more structured silhouette.

The pictured brown dress is made with a soft cotton twill suiting fabric that is 240 gr/m2.
